DOROTHY TRAISTER
Dorothy Traister grooms both at the spa and in the mobile grooming van. Dorothy has been grooming pets in the Morgantown area for over 24 years, beginning in 1983. She started Mountaineer Pet Care Center in 1986, and has been grooming full time ever since. In 1991, Dorothy started her mobile pet grooming service. The mobile clientele grew so rapidly, that in 2006, Dorothy had to establish a wait list for new clients. Dorothy grooms in the van 2-3 days per week, and in the spa 3 days per week. 


PET GROOMING

MPCC provides grooming services for both dogs and cats (and occasionally rabbits, birds and ferrets). All pet styling and a’ la carte grooming services are by appointment only. We recommend calling at least two weeks prior to your desired grooming appointment time, as the most desirable appointment times fill up fast.

PRICING

The chart below contains the base prices for styling and grooming services. Please note that these are estimated prices given for your convenience. The exact price of your pet’s styling will depend upon the size of your pet, condition of its skin and coat, existence of matting, and your pet’s individual demeanor and behavior. If you would like an individualized estimate based on your pet’s personal characteristics, please call and arrange to bring your pet by the Spa for an evaluation by the groomer. Again, while the groomer is able to predict the approximate time for your pet based on appearance, she may not be able to predict your pet’s temperament or behavior. Difficult and/or aggressive pets will be charged additional fees.
 
VACCINATIONS

In order to protect your pet’s health, all pets serviced at the Resort and Spa are required to demonstrate compliance with our vaccination policy. (See VACCINATION tab for details.) Staff is not permitted to book grooming appointments without first obtaining proof of current compliance with our vaccination policy. Therefore, please have your veterinarian fax proof of you pet’s vaccinations to MPCC prior to attempting to schedule a styling appointment.
