STAINLESS STEEL TUBS 

MPCC uses specially designed stainless steel pet tubs. These tubs are ergonomic, providing steps for access, and high side walls to prevent jumping or falling. Additionally, the smooth surface doesn’t catch delicate toenails, and doesn’t have cracks or chips that can hold or transmit disease.

HYDROSURGE MASSAGING BATH

We use the HydroSurge® Animal Bathing Systems, exclusively. HydroSurge® is a patented state-of-the-art development in bathing for animals. This unique system produces a combing action flow of shampoo and water through a hand held massage sprayer, which increases blood circulation and soothes the pet. The water penetrates deep through the coat for thorough cleansing and a relaxing massage. Invigorating jet action removes loose hair, dead skin, fleas and other debris for the healthiest skin possible. Pets love the massage; you’ll love the clean difference!

COOL AIR DRYER

All pets are dried by hand, using a high-velocity COOL AIR dryer. (The dryer has no heating element, and therefore, no chance of causing hyperthermia.) The dryer separates and eliminates the excess coat and loose hair on the pet, cutting down on undercoat and shedding. It also gives us the opportunity to thoroughly examine the skin to note any skin irritations, bumps, fleas and ticks, and the overall health of the skin and coat.

PREMIUM SHAMPOOS

We use only premium shampoos, choosing the correct shampoo for you pet’s coat and condition. We use Nature’s Specialties shampoos for most bathing. Nature’s Specialties shampoos have been the natural choice of pet professionals since 1986, and are gentle, non-toxic, and biodegradable. For special needs pets, or upon request, we use Virbac and DVM medicated shampoos. For a special luxury, try Les Pooch shampoos, conditioners, and colognes. (See our WHAT WE USE tab for details.)

NAIL TREATMENT

All pets nails are trimmed with specially designed pet nail tools. These make nail trims faster, and consequently, less stressful for the pets. Additionally, nail dremmeling is available upon request, to smooth out any sharp edges left by clipping.

EAR TREATMENT

After bathing, all pets’ ears are thoroughly cleaned with DVM’s OtiRinse Ear Cleansing & Drying Solution. This is an antiseptic ear solution designed specifically for use in dogs and cats ears. It helps dissolve and eliminate internal wax, and helps prevent problems that can be caused by water in the ear canals.

INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION

All pets are bathed and dried individually, by a professionally trained staff member. To ensure safety, pets are never left in the tubs or on tables outside of the reach of the attendant. While pets are awaiting their treatments or pick up, they are housed in secure individual stainless steel suites, built into the walls of the temperature controlled spa rooms.

VACCINATIONS

Please remember, TO PROTECT YOUR PET'S HEALTH, all pets receiving services at the Resort and Spa are required to comply with our vaccination policy. (Please see VACCINATIONS page for details.)

APPOINTMENTS & DAY STAY

In order to ensure that we are able to provide all spa services in a relaxing and attentive manner, please call ahead for your spa appointments. Additionally, please plan to arrive few minutes early for your appointment, in the event we have any questions regarding your requested services.

Upon your arrival, the receptionist will inform you of your pet’s pickup time. This time is individualized, and will allow ample time to perform your pet’s services before your return. All pet appointments will take less than 3 hours. Please be prompt with your return. The facilities in the spa are designed for stays of only one to three hours. The spa staff is not able to provide daycare service.

However, if you desire for your pet to stay at the Resort & Spa longer, advise the receptionist upon your arrival. If the resort has a vacancy, your pet will be transferred to a suite, upon completion of spa treatment, and will be provided water and playtimes, in conjunction with normal daycare activities. You will be charged the appropriate Day Stay fee, and may pick up your pet anytime before our normal closing time.
